Having the ambiance of a pool and taking in a concert together makes for a special evening outdoors. It's not every day you get to watch an amazing live popular music group in this type of environment and can make for an unforgettable evening in Las Vegas.
Three places come to mind for great Vegas pool concerts and they are the Mandalay Bay Beach, the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan and The Red Rock Resort Sandbar Pool in Summerlin off The Strip.
These venues have had a big history of hosting amazing unforgettable pool concerts. Check upcoming schedules at these venues well in advance as you may want to coordinate and plan your trip especially around a pool concert.

Pool concerts are typically scheduled starting late April and run through October. If you are not comfortable in the Vegas summer evening heat, April-May & September-October are recommended times for a more comfortable outside evening temperature.

The Mandalay Bay Beach is a one-of-a-kind spectacular venue. This is a truly unique and an amazing experience attending a concert here. It is an actual beach, in Vegas! With sand and a giant wave pool with a live music stage. Imagine standing in a wave pool cooling off your feet as waves crash against you as you are watching a live group and enjoying amazing live music. You can also sit back and relax on a beach towel in the sand and have a great cocktail, ice-cold beer or soda.

The Mandalay Bay Beach hosts it's Concerts On The Beach series of live concerts during the pool season summer months. And if pool ambiance and live music is your thing, we recommend you definitely check one out. Even if you're not a big fan of the music group playing, the experience of the venue itself should be great fun.

Artists in previous years have included popular greats such as Ziggy Marley, Snoop Dogg and The Beach Boys. This year's concerts have already included country artist superstars Cole Swindell, Dwight Yoakam & Randy Houser and also reggae rock group Sublime With Rome.

Coming up on September 16 is the pop vocal R&B group 98 Degrees! Also, on September 18 is the popular band Bronco from Mexico! These will both be great!

The evening temperature will be nice during this time and it's even better when you can cool your feet off in the water barefoot after a long day of sightseeing, tours and other Las Vegas adventures.

If you're at Mandalay Bay, we recommend visiting The Shoppes at Mandalay Place. You can use your Vegas Bite Card at Ri Ra Irish Pub & the Guinness Store, then cool off at the Minus 5 Degrees Ice Lounge.

If you want a city-feel the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan is stunning. This pool venue is elevated on a rooftop and is situated on The Strip where all the action is. If you love amazing strip views you need to experience this! Past concerts have included Counting Crows, Enrique Iglesias, Blink-182, Foster The People and Panic! At The Disco.

Coming up on October 23 is a whiskey event which will be showcasing different whisky varieties called Whiskyx: The Whiskey Experience with groups Fitz & The Tantrums and St. Paul & The Broken Bones performing live. This sounds cool!

If you feel like venturing off The Strip, or if you already are, Red Rock Resort Sandbar Pool in Summerlin is a beautiful breathtaking venue to spend the evening and experience a concert. If you're on the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd), at the Charleston intersection, if you head west on Charleston it is a straight shot approximately 30 minutes to Red Rock Resort located on West Charleston. Easy route on surface roads if you're not in the mood for a freeway trip!

Red Rock Resort Sandbar Pool has hosted amazing groups over the years such as Toto, Goo Goo Dolls, Whitesnake, Weezer, The Fray, Tears For Fears and Barenaked Ladies.

Coming up on September 10 is REO Speedwagon and on October 9 is country pop artist Brett Young. Concerts scheduled for May of 2022 at Red Rock Resort Sandbar Pool include the Pop 2000 Tour (featuring Mark McGrath, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, LFO & Lance Bass), country artist Billy Currington and Joss Stone. As mentioned earlier, check the schedules in advance if you want to plan ahead.

Speaking of REO Speedwagon, can’t help thinking of that scene from Rock Of Ages. We miss Rock Of Ages in Vegas which played at Venetian and later at Rio. Hoping for a Rock Of Ages return!

Hungry while you are near Red Rock Resort? Use your Vegas Bite Card at Hash House a Go Go on West Charleston (Summerlin location) across from Red Rock Resort. The world famous sage fried chicken & waffles are amazing. This “twisted farm food” is a must-try and would make a great pre-concert meal. Also, see Hash House a Go Go’s other multiple locations in Vegas where you can use the Vegas Bite Card such as at The Linq on The Strip and Downtown at The Plaza Hotel & Casino. This is an excellent breakfast spot at some point during your time in Vegas.

Enjoy live music by the pool while you can this year in Vegas. Running out of time for this season!
